JOB DESCRIPTION
Mortgage Express is looking for a detail-oriented Funder to ensure smooth and accurate loan closings. In this role, you’ll verify final documents, coordinate disbursements, and communicate with multiple entities — helping borrowers get to the finish line with confidence. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Validate that all prior-to-funding conditions noted by the Underwriter have been satisfied.
Review signed loan documents to confirm accuracy and completion in compliance with investor guidelines and all State/Federal laws.
Using the Loan Origination System (LOS), review Settlement Statement to balance the loan and calculate wire amount.
Ensure LOS accurately reflects the loan details and loan status.
Prepare funding package for Warehouse Lender, including Wire Request.
Initiate wire transfer to the Settlement Agent's Funding Department.
Communicate post-funding conditions to line staff while coordinating receipt of any outstanding items.
Maintain company standard for turn-times with a high level of customer service to internal and external clients.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum 3 years Funding experience with multiple warehouse lines
- Document Drawing experience preferred
- Works with strong sence of urgency and responsiveness
- Excellent written and communication skills
- Encompass LOS & Microsoft Office applications
